Deutsche Bank has recruited Jeff Urwin as its newest co-head of Corporate Banking & Securities and Head of Corporate Finance – the appointment will also see him added as a member of the Group Executive Committee.

In his new role as the co-head of Banking & Securities, Mr. Urwin will be based out of New York, here he will be working alongside Colin Fan, Deutsche Bank’s co-head of Corporate Banking & Securities and Head of Markets.

Mr. Urwin will be succeeding Robert Rankin, who parted ways with Deutsche Bank earlier this year. Mr. Urwin will be reporting to Anshu Jain, co-chief executive officer of Deutsche Bank.

He joins Deutsche Bank from JPMorgan, having worked there since 2008 – which was preceded by Bear Stearns since 1996. During his time at JPMorgan he served as the co-head of Global Banking.

According to Anshu Jain, co-chief executive officer of Deutsche Bank in a recent statement on the appointment, "I am pleased to welcome Jeff to Deutsche Bank. He is a trusted, long-time advisor to clients and an experienced team leader. Jeff's decision to join us underscores our commitment to being a client-centric bank."

"I am excited by the opportunity to join Deutsche Bank and to work with my new colleagues whose commitment to client advisory work is evident. I thank my colleagues at J.P. Morgan for their enduring partnership and professionalism and wish them well," added Mr. Urwin in an accompanying statement.
