Earthport, a cross-border payment provider in the UK, has appointed Peter Klein as its newest Global Head of foreign exchange (FX), whose appointment is tendered with immediate effect, according to an Earthport statement.
Mr. Klein joins Earthport from the P2P lending space, having worked in several senior level roles. Previously, he served as the Global Head of FX Prime Brokerage (FXPB) at Bank of America (BofA) Merrill Lynch. Prior to joining BofA Merrill Lynch, he also worked in a variety of Senior FX roles, including JPMorgan, Saxo Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and Citi.
In his new role as the Global Head of FX at Earthport, Mr. Klein will be reporting to Daniel Marovitz, the group’s President of Europe and Head of Product.
According to Mr. Marovitz in a recent statement on the appointment: “We are delighted to have Peter join the team. Our mission is simple and bold- to be the leading cross-border Payments provider in the world.”
“A strong FX product offering complementing our core payments and compliance capability is key to fulfilling this mission: we plan to expand the functionality and treasury sophistication within the Earthport product suite. Peter will lead the Execution of a powerful integrated strategy to support our global payment network,” he added.
