easyMarkets has made another hire to its team in August, despite it typically being one of the slower months for personnel moves in the industry. Gabriela Noriega has joined the CySEC -regulated online market-maker and Trading Platform provider as its Business Development Manager for Latin America (LATAM), Finance Magnates has learned.

The addition of Ms. Noriega represents the group’s second move in as many months, having promoted Daniel Byrne to the role of Managing Director of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region back in late July. The elevation was the latest in a string of personnel moves undergone at the group in Q2, with Ms. Noriega’s hire constituting its first focus in the LATAM space.

In her new role at easyMarkets, Ms. Noriega will be based out of Mexico, where she will be focusing on developing relationships with new clients and partners in the region. She will also help assist in client training and enters into her role with immediate effect. She joins easyMarkets after a seven-year career in the financial services space.

Most recently she worked at Mayzus Investment Company as an Account Manager in Cyprus for over three years. During this time, she helped introduce agents, affiliates, and retail clients as well as working in relationship management. This also saw her familiarize herself with the total depth of Mayzus’ platforms and services suite.

Prior to this role, she also worked at LiteForex as a Senior Services Manager for a little over a year, dating back to 2014. Her role entailed a stronger marketing focus, also implementing LiteForex’s advertising campaigns at local and national level, client management, and new business segments.

She began her career originally at Scotiabank in 2008 working in customer service, according to information made public on her Linkedin profile.
