The parent company of Divisa Capital, Equiti Global Markets, and EGM Futures, Equiti Group, has appointed Mitesh Vaghela as the Director of Product. He joins the company from GKFX where he has worked since 2015.

Vaghela joins the company with more than a decade of experience in the Forex industry. His most recent position was Global Head of Business Development at GKFX, a financial company which provides CFD trading, spread betting, and foreign exchange. In 2015, he joined the broker as an E-FX Solutions Manager, and was promoted to Head of Business Development in November 2016 and later to the Global Head in October 2017.

Before this, Vaghela worked at London Capital Group as an EFX Solutions Manager. London Capital Group allows investors to trade CFDs and spread bet on forex, indices, shares, and commodities using the company’s LCG Trader platform.

Vaghela has also held a variety of positions at binary options, foreign exchange, precious metals, and CFD broker, Alpari Group. His positions included Business Analyst and Product Coordinator. In 2005, Vaghela began his career as a Dealer at City Credit Capital.

The appointment of Vaghela follows the announcement that Brian Myers was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Divisa UK Limited, a subsidiary of Equiti Group. Similar to Vaghela, Myers joined the company from GKFX, where he was the CEO also.

Equiti in Kenya

Vaghela's appointment comes at an interesting time for the company. With shifting regulations in the European Union, the company has been increasing its operations in East Africa. Through its subsidiary EGM Securities Limited, it required the first online forex broker license in Kenya from the country’s Capital Markets Authority (CMA).

Following the acquisition of a license, earlier this month Finance Magnates reported that EGM Securities had launched the first online regulated non-dealing Forex Broker in East Africa. Through the platform, traders can invest in global macro opportunities such as foreign exchange, oil, gold, other precious metals, and commodities.
