As its Chief Information and Technology Officer, Mr. Courbebaisse will be reporting to Stéphane Boujnah, CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board. His role as the Chief Information Officer at Euronext also comes on the heels of several similar roles at other venues over the course of a career spanning over two decades. Prior to Societe Generale, Mr. Courbebaisse also worked at Newedge as its Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) for over sixteen years.

Additionally, he served in a similar capacity at Fimat Bank UK as a Europe CIO, and Fimat SNC as its CIO, among other positions, dating back to 1997, according to information made public by his Linkedin profile.

By extension, Euronext has also seen two other moves in its ranks, with Maurice van Tilburg, an acting member of the Managing Board and CEO of Euronext Amsterdam, slated to move into the role of Head of Market Operations – he will be tasked with heading Euronext’s Market Services. Moreover, Jos Dijsselhof, a member of the Managing Board and Chief Operating Officer, will also be parting ways with Euronext at the end of June, following three years helping the venue.

According to Stéphane Boujnah, CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext NV, in a statement on the moves, “I am pleased that Alain has agreed to join Euronext. As we deploy our Agility for Growth strategic plan, driven by IT projects and business initiatives, Alain will bring his long-term IT experience in the finance industry.”

“He will be a significant asset in the successful delivery of Optiq, our new Trading Platform , and will be instrumental in preparing the next stages of Euronext’s infrastructure. On behalf of the Managing Board, I would like to thank Jos for his contribution to Euronext in building the fundamentals of our independent IT platform,” he explained.
