Euronext, Europe’s largest Exchange , has appointed Joost Kromhout as its newest Head of Listing, who steps into his new role as of March 1, 2016, according to a Euronext statement.
In his new role as the Head of Listing at Euronext Amsterdam, Mr. Kromhout will be tasked with the oversight of the group’s overall listing strategy, business development and client coverage across the region.
Mr. Kromhout joins Euronext Amsterdam from Rabobank, having served at the investment bank in its Equity Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) units. In this capacity, he held roles as its Executive Director Equity Capital Markets, and was responsible for handling all Dutch Initial Public Offerings.
According to Maurice van Tilburg, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Euronext Amsterdam, in a recent statement on the appointment: “Joost has built a strong commercial profile in the sector through his important and high profile roles at Rabobank. He is a widely-known expert in the field of equity markets and listings and is a valuable addition to our team."
Last week, Euronext made headlines after it reported its December 2015 volumes, which saw its average daily cash order grow to $7990 million (€7437 million), or less than 1.0% higher MoM from November 2015. Across a yearly timeframe however, the latest figures also illustrated a growth of 6.0% YoY from December 2014.
