After four years at Pepperstone, mostly serving as Head of Engineering for the EMEA region, Ahmad Said announced he is currently developing his own trading platform for contracts for difference (CFD) brokers called Fintake. His goal is to help companies break free from "same-tech sameness" and focus on innovation.
Pepperstone Experience Transferred to Fintake
Fintake's team, led by Said, consists of professionals who previously worked with trading technologies at leading CFD brokers in the industry. According to them, most brokers rely on identical solutions, which has turned them into "platform shops" offering the same systems with little room for flexibility and innovation.
"We're building modern trading platforms to eliminate the constraints of legacy systems and help brokers build and move beyond 'same-tech sameness' to true innovation," Said commented.
Said knows the CFD broker platform industry inside out. He began his career with three years at FxPro's Cyprus office as a Senior Software Developer. He then spent a year building plugins and extensions for MetaTrader 4 and 5 platforms.
"With flexible APIs, customizable licensing models, and scalable technology, we make it easier for brokers to innovate, streamline their operations, and lead in their markets," added Said. "With Fintake, brokers can rely on technology that supports their vision, drives growth, and sets them apart from the competition."
For five years, he was also associated with trading technology firm ChartIQ as Team Lead for FX Solutions. He joined Pepperstone in March 2021 as Senior Software Engineer, progressing through roles including Engineering Chapter Lead, Engineering Manager, and ultimately Head of Engineering for the EMEA region.
"Starting as the first engineering hire in Cyprus, I watched our team grow to over 20 talented individuals, working on projects like the TradingView integration, Pepperstoneβs trading platform, and the mobile app, just to name a few," stated Said.
Finance Magnates reached out to Said for more details. This article will be updated upon response.
Industry Professionals Venture Out
Said isn't the first (and certainly won't be the last) FX/CFD industry expert to start his own venture. Earlier this year, Finance Magnates reported that Sam Eder, Head of Emerging Markets at OANDA, left the company after 15 years to launch his Market Mates project from scratch. This isn't Eder's first entrepreneurial venture.
In August, Desimir Paskalev, a trading industry veteran with over a decade at retail broker XM, launched his own project under the FundedBull banner. In an exclusive interview with Finance Magnates, Paskalev explained he chose prop trading due to its lower entry barriers compared to running an FX/CFD brokerage business.
