Ran Cohen, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at BridgerPay, a recently-launched Payments company, has revealed exclusively to Finance Magnates that the company has broadened its management team with the appointment of Bjorn Enqvist as Head of Sales.

As Finance Magnates previously reported, the BriderPay solution acts as an artificial intelligence-powered payment and data management platform, which was designed to reduce processing costs and increase approval ratios.

Bjorn Enqvist joins BridgerPay after a short hiatus

Enqvist joins the company after a short break after leaving Advanced Markets LLC, an institutional liquidity provider and prime of prime, and Fortex Inc., an FX technology company in October 2018.

This break allowed him to “recharge his batteries” and left him ready to take on a new challenge. So when Cohen approached him about a job opportunity at BridgerPay, he was instantly intrigued, Enqvist told Finance Magnates exclusively.

Enqvist originally joined Advanced Markets/Fortex in April of 2016. While working for the firms, he was a Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Commenting on his new role, Enqvist said: “It has always been my intention to help solve a problem for my clients and to add genuine value to the marketplace through both serving my clients with new solutions that truly make a difference to their business and yet simultaneously delivers a quality end user experience.

"This is a philosophy shared by founder Ran and the BridgerTeam and why I am thankful for the opportunity and what made it an easy decision to partner up with the team."

“Joining a Fintech startup that is powered by Ai technology is extremely exciting and challenging. I will relish to yet again enter a different sector within our industry and broaden my personal knowledge and experience.”

Enqvist hits the ground running

In his new role at BridgerPay, Enqvist will help drive the company’s global growth through sales. He will kickstart his new position by presenting the Bridgerpay technology platform at the iFX Expo Asia in Hong Kong next week.

“Looking forward, our path to change payments behaviour in online merchants is not only through our product and technology but also through better understanding the merchants, no matter the industry, with his extensive experience and personality Bjorn will take a crucial part in accelerate our growth.”
