Finance Magnates learned on Tuesday that Bryan Seegers has joined Citadel Securities as a director in the market maker's eFX sales team, based out of New York.

Seegers joins Citadel from investment bank Jefferies where he spent the past two years as SVP in the group's eFX trading division.

Prior to joining Jefferies, Seegers spent almost five years at ADS Securities.

Based in Abu Dhabi, the new Citadel executive started out as a senior FX dealer before becoming head of eFX pricing and Execution . He was then promoted again and, when he left the firm in mid-2017, it was as co-head of global eFX coverage.

From Alpari to Citadel

Seegers got his start in the retail trading world back in 2009.

That year, he joined the now-defunct Alpari US as a manager on the broker's retail trading desk.

After a year in that role, he became the broker's chief dealer in the US.

During a two year stint leading the dealing desk, Seegers built up Alpari's US trading team and exponentially grew the broker's business in the US. He also helped to forge connections with banks to provide better Liquidity to clients.
