The brokerage highlighted that Bunce would be instrumental in driving the company's continued growth in the new role. The appointment was made when the trading volume on the brokerage was hitting a record. While the statistics for February are not public yet, the trading volume at Exness for January came in at $2.82 trillion, smashing the previous record.

In the new role, Bunce will work closely with the broker's founding shareholders, strengthening the company's relationships with core infrastructure providers, the media, professional bodies, as well as key partners and clients. Additionally, he will be the firm's official representative, tasked with strengthening its profile and reputation.

"Damian has a wealth of experience in our industry and has a deep understanding of our company. At a time of rapid growth, it's crucial that we strengthen all our key relationships, and I'm confident that Damian has the skills to do just that," said Petr Valov, the Founder and CEO of Exness.

An FX Industry Veteran

Before Exness, Bunce worked at Saxo Bank, where he was the Chief Commercial Officer for more than a couple of years. In addition, he is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience.

Moreover, he spent over six years at Sberbank and is known to be the architect of the Russian bank's eFX platform, Sberbank Markets, one of the top Liquidity Providers of the Russian ruble. His long and short stints also include Barclays, Goldman Sachs, and Barings roles.

"I'm thrilled to be taking the next step in my career at Exness," Bunce said. "I'm looking forward to working to strengthen the company further and explaining the value proposition that has made us so successful."

Meanwhile, Exness is focused on expanding its global footprint, especially in developing markets. Recently, the broker opened an office in Uruguay, making its first physical presence in Latin America. Furthermore, its ambitions for the African markets have become prominent as it obtained licenses in South Africa and Kenya.
