Finance Magnates has learnt exclusively that global multi-asset financial services provider, Exness has appointed Peter Plester, the former Head of FX Prime Brokerage at Saxo Bank, to lead its B2B sales efforts around the world.
Amid growing global demand, the broker announced its intention to enter the B2B client segment in June last year with the appointment of Marko Jagustin to lead its build-out. During the past few years, Exness has seen a consistent jump in trading volumes.
Plester is an industry veteran with a deep understanding of the B2B segment. In his extensive career, Plester has worked with some of the leading names in the global financial services sector. In his recent role at Saxo Bank, Plester played an important part in the expansion of the company’s LP business worldwide.
Prior to joining Saxo Bank, Plester built and ran the FX prime brokerage business at Rabobank.
Commenting on the appointment, Damian Bunce, the Chief Trading Officer at Exness, said: “I am delighted to welcome Peter to Exness. He is a domain expert, a trusted advisor to clients all over the world, and he will be a great addition to Marko’s growing team. We plan to solve some of the most pressing industry needs, and we see a gap now for a big, new and well-capitalized entrant, in a space that is increasingly crowded with small niche providers.”
Business Expansion
Exness has accelerated its efforts regarding the company’s business expansion. Finance Magnates has learnt that the multi-asset broker is focusing on completing its product and service build during 2022, with a small group of pilot clients, and looks to launch the business in early 2023. According to rumors, the company will launch the business under its sub-brand, Exness2B.
“I am excited to join Exness at a time when its business is expanding. The Exness B2B proposition is a unique and differentiated service offering and I am looking forward to introducing it to potential clients in the months ahead,” Plester said.
