Exclusive: Maria Pittashi Joins Plugit as Business Strategy Manager

Forex trading industry technology provider, Plugit has onboarded industry expert Maria Pittashi as the company’s new Business Strategy Manager, Finance Magnates has learned. She has already joined the company in the new role.

“My position will entail shaping the company’s long-term goals and defining how we plan to accomplish them as a team,” Pittashi told Finance Magnates. “I’ll be determining our strengths and opportunities while minimizing our weaknesses and threats.”

Additionally, she will be in charge of overseeing the organizational effectiveness, making sure that everything is functioning at our most efficient levels “with the intention of taking Plugit to the next level.”

Based in Cyprus, Plugit offers a range of products and services, which include solutions for partner management, risk management , money management, admin and client portals and even CRMs. According to the company website, it offers technology to more than 100 platforms in the forex trading industry.

Years of Industry Experience

Pittashi has brought significant years of industry experience to her new role. Before joining Plugit, she headed Antelope Systems as the Chief Executive Officer of the customer analytics -centric technology platform. In her three-year-long tenure at the company, she held the apex role for almost a couple of years.

Her industry experience is mostly around strengthening customer relations. She spent almost a decade working with Thompson Reuters in two separate tenures. She first joined the company as a Senior FX Client Trading Executive and later lead the clients specialist team for the East Mediterranean and North African countries.

In her second tenure with Thompson Reuters, she joined as a Customer Support Team Manager and later became a Senior Site Representative. Furthermore, she was a Customer Support Services Manager at Refinitiv, which is now owned by LSEG, for six years. She started her career in March 2006 as an Equities Research Assistant at Thomas Weisel Partners, an investment bank.
