One of the key figures at ADSS is leaving the company, Finance Magnates can confirm. Managing Director and Global Head of Sales and Marketing , Mathieu Ghanem is leaving the firm after spending almost nine years with the firm.
Mathieu’s career at the firm has been a rather impressive and fast ascent through the corporate ladder. His first position with ADSS was as Head of Research. Throughout the years, he also held several key sales roles across the APAC and MENA regions, culminating in a seat on the board while Mathieu also maintained his position as a key sales and marketing executive at the firm.
Commenting to Finance Magnates a spokesperson for ADSS confirmed that Ghanem is leaving the company. Mathieu is moving on to a brand new role which for the time remains undisclosed.
In an exclusive statement, ADSS elaborated that the decision was made in consultation with the Chairman Mahmood Ebraheem Al Mahmood and the wider ADSS Management Team.
“Jason Hughes assumed the role of Global Head of Sales in February 2019 and has been working closely alongside Mathieu for a number of years. This close working relationship has ensured a smooth transition for our clients. ADSS would like to thank Mathieu for his contribution to ADSS and wish him well for his future endeavors,” the company elaborated in its statement to Finance Magnates.

In a recent exclusive interview, the new Global Head of Sales at ADSS, Jason Hughes, elaborated that despite the industry-wide headwinds, the company's focus on MENA and Asia helped the firm to continue expanding its client base. The firm also accentuated that its wealth and asset management divisions are driving institutional growth, in a tight retail regulatory environment.
In the meantime, the firm is continuing to prioritize investing and trading to underpin the growth of its global brokerage business.
