Alfonso Cardalda Becomes New Chief Marketing Officer at Exness

Exness announced on Wednesday that it has named Alfonso Cardalda as its new Chief Marketing Officer. According to a press release shared with Finance Magnates, the new executive joining the trading platform is a former PokerStars executive.

In his role at Exness, Cardalda will continue to develop the broker’s brand and communications strategy. Additionally, he will focus on strengthening the acquisition of new consumers across all digital channels. His speciality lies in digital acquisition and brand building, with recent accomplishments including partnerships with Rafael Nadal, Cristiano Ronaldo and Red Bull Racing.

Zaid Alkhatib Has Been Appointed as the New CEO of GMI UK

On Wednesday, Global Market Index Ltd. (GMI UK) recruited Zaid Alkhatib as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Alkhatib will replace Ashraf Ebid, who will remain as an Executive Director in GMI UK. Ebid is also the majority shareholder of the firm. This is Alkhatib’s second recent promotion as the company promoted him to Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the end of 2021. Although, the position requires the approval of the FCO to affirm the appointment.

Exclusive: ActivTrades Names Patrick Storey as New Chairman

In an exclusive, ActivTrades informed Finance Magnates that Patrick Storey, a Non-Executive Director, will be the new Chairman of the broker. He is taking over from John Reed who stepped down from the role last week.

This appointment was only disclosed the day after Reed’s resignation was made public. He will take on the responsibilities as Chairman of a new business venture launched by Pusco.

Scope Markets Kenya announced that it has appointed Alex Karanja Njoroge as its new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer.

According to the announcement, Kenneth Waiganjo was also positioned as an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of the company.

Njoroge has more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, including asset management, banking and consulting. Also, organizational strategy, business development and risk management are Njoroge’s areas of expertise.

CME Group to Boost International Growth through New Regional Leadership Structure

CME Group announced a new regional leadership structure today to enhance its presence in regions, such as Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific.

Additionally, CME Group mentioned that Michel Everaert has been promoted to Managing Director and Head of EMEA. Everaert has previously worked with companies like IMEX Group, GFI Group, Logica, Reuters and Dow Jones.

Moreover, Russell Beattie will become a part of the CME Group later, in May, this year as the Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific.

Cboe Has Appointed Nigel Jeyakumar as Its New Director of EMEA Sales

Cboe has recruited Nigel Jeyakumar as its new Director of EMEA sales, which will be located in London to lead the sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Jeyakumar will focus on market data, indices and analytics. All reports will be made to Bo Chung, the Senior Vice-President in global sales and index licensing.

Skilling Hires Ana Cavero as Global Product Head

Skilling has onboarded Ana Cavero as Global Head of Product, further enhancing its leadership, according to her latest LinkedIn post.

“I'll be developing this new function with a growth mindset, defining the development processes within the agile framework, maximizing the value in a truly product-led organization, and hopefully taking its world-class trading offering to a market-leading position!” Cavero wrote.

At the beginning of the week, BDSwiss announced it has recruited Andreas Neocleous as the new Chief Operating Officer.

He will report directly to the firm’s CEO, Nicolas Shamtanis, who joined last month. Additionally, his primary focus will include overseeing the broker’s project management office (PMO), IT and business intelligence departments.

Tomer Niv, Ex-Director of Global Crypto Solutions at eToro, Joins Entree Capital

Tomer Niv left eToro after working there for over 3 years. Niv worked as eToro's Crypto Business Development Manager in 2019. Presently, he is joining Entree Capital, a Tel Aviv, London, and New York-based venture capital.

In 2021, Niv became the Director of Global Crypto Solutions. Part of his role included new listings, market research, communicating with liquidity providers, monitoring crypto regulatory changes and more.
