Finastra Welcomes Isabel Fernandez to Expand Lending Business

Finastra has announced the expansion of its team recently with the addition of Isabel Fernandez, the former Commercial Leader at GE, as its EVP of the Lending Business Unit. In her new role, Fernandez will accelerate the growth of Finastra’s lending business.

Recently, Fernandez worked with ING, one of the leading European financial services providers, as the Global Head of Wholesale Banking. In addition, she was serving as a Board Member. Fernandez played an important role in driving ING’s global sustainability strategy.

Commenting on Fernandez joining the company, Simon Paris, the CEO at Finastra, said: “We are thrilled that Isabel is joining us on our journey towards being ecosystem orchestrators for Banking as a Service (BaaS) and the future of financial services software. She brings deep expertise in the lending and technology arena, and I am confident her strategic leadership will help us drive even more growth for our market-leading lending solutions and the thousands of banks around the world that rely on them to power their business.”

In her broad professional career, the newly appointed EVP of Finastra’s Lending Business Unit worked with several prominent names in the global corporate sector. She spent approximately 16 years at GE Company in various roles, including Commercial Leader.

During her time at ING, Fernandez focused on technology-driven innovations and different digital initiatives to drive the company’s growth. At Finastra, she aims to introduce several strategic initiatives to assist Finastra’s expansion.
