First Derivatives plc, a financial software and consulting company, announced this Thursday that it has appointed Ayman Sayed as a Non-Executive Director of the Group, which became effective on Wednesday the 1st of July 2020.
According to a statement filed today through the London Stock Exchange (LSE), First Derivatives made the appointment to its Board to support its strategy to enhance its product engineering capability, deliver solutions and grow its software revenue.

At the same time as being a Director of First Derivatives, Sayed is also the CEO of Software Inc., a global enterprise software company. He brings extensive experience in enterprise technology.
Commenting on the appointment, Donna Troy, Chairman of FD, said in the statement: "Ayman's CEO experience at leading enterprise software companies and his deep engineering background bring highly relevant and valuable skills that will assist the Group's strategy. I am delighted to welcome him to the Board."
Before he was the President and CEO of BMC Software, Sayed was the President and Chief Product Officer of CA Technologies Inc., a Fortune 500 company acquired by Broadcom Inc.
In this role, he was responsible for the vision, strategy, development and success of the company's portfolio of products and solutions. In addition to his career experience, Sayed also holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cairo University.
