FlexTrade Systems, a provider of multi-asset Execution and order management systems, has made two senior hires to its operations with the addition of Glen Sargeant and Marek Lewandowski as its newest Foreign Exchange (FX) Sales Managers for the company’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, according to a FlexTrade statement.

Both individuals will be based out of FlexTrade’s London office, with Mr. Sargeant tasked with the group’s Buy-Side client acquisitions – meanwhile, Mr. Lewandowski will garner a focus on cross asset acquisition opportunities with a penchant for the FX realm.

Mr. Sargeant joins FlexTrade with over two and a half decades of experience in the FX space, having most recently landed at the group from Schroder Investment Management. In this capacity he worked for over eighteen years on the group’s FX trading desk. During this time, he served as its Head of Trading FX, specializing also in equities, fixed income, multi-asset and emerging market (EM) debt. Additional stops also include Prebon Yamane UK and Credit Agricole.

By extension, Mr. Lewandowski has joined FlexTrade after a lengthy career lasting upwards of seventeen years. He joins the group from HSBC, where he worked on its eFX sales team in London. Prior to this, Mr. Lewandowski also worked at TradingScreen, Tradeweb, SuperDerivatives, and Bloomberg.

According to Vikas Kedia, Managing Director, FlexTrade UK Ltd, in a recent statement on the appointments: “I am pleased to welcome Glen and Marek to the FlexTrade team. With technology in the FX space becoming more sophisticated for asset managers and hedge funds, it is critical to have people who are experienced in the complex workflows that comprise the day-to-day trading process.”

“The depth of Glen and Marek’s knowledge and experience in that area -- from both a buy-side and sell-side perspective –will be invaluable to FlexTrade as we enhance our offerings to the FX market,” he added.

FlexTrade caters to both buy-side and sell-side firms, including hedge funds, asset managers, commodity trading advisors, investment banks, and institutional brokers.
