MetaQuotes has enlisted Aytugan Khafizov as its newest Chief Information Officer (CIO), joining the groupโs Cyprus office.
Mr. Khafizov joins MetaQuotes from Alpari UK, the latest executive to part ways with the broker in a post-January exodus that roiled the industry and bankrupted Alpari UK. Back in May, CMC Markets appointed ex-Alpari UK CEO, David Hodge as its Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Mr. Khafizov has been a mainstay at Alpari since 1999, having worked at both Alpari RU and Alpari UK over the past fifteen years. During his tenure he has held such roles as IT Manager, Technical Director, Director of Innovations, Chief Technology Officer, and COO, among other positions.
In his new role as the CIO of MetaQuotes, Mr. Khafizov will be based out of Cyprus, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
