John Macpherson is the latest senior executive to transition out of the banking realm, joining BMLL Technologies, a provider of cloud services and Analytics , as its newest Chief Executive Officer, Finance Magnates has learned.
In his new role Mr. Macpherson will be based out of London – he joins the group with immediate effect. His new position at the group is the latest role he’s held since leaving the banking sector last year – since then he has been working as a consultant at NED & Consultant.
Prior to BMLL Technologies, Mr. Macpherson held a series of roles at leading banks, including most recently at Citi as its managing director. In this capacity he worked extensively with a global client base to help increase the bank’s profitability, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
Additional roles also include stints as the Managing Director of Nomura, which saw him serve the lender as its Global head of Sales and Execution in Listed Derivatives for over two years. He also worked as the Head of Fixed Income Futures and Options Sales and Execution at Goldman Sachs across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, as well as JPMorgan as its joint Head of European Fixed Income Futures sales, part of a lengthy career extending back to 2001.
