The former head of sales of LME, Paul MacGregor, has taken on a new role as head of sales and marketing at London-based Fintech company Perfect Channel, according to market sources.

MacGregor moved to the firm from Britannia Global Markets, where he had worked in derivatives sales since May 2019. Britannia Global offers clients the ability to trade across asset classes and markets worldwide. It is authorized and regulated by the British Financial Conduct Authority and a member of the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange .
Prior to that, he served in the same position at brokerage house Berkeley Futures Limited.
Long career
MacGregor's career started at NYSE Euronext in 1994. He spent 18 years at the company, holding numerous roles including head of fixed income derivatives.
In this position, he was responsible for developing the fixed Income business franchise and product development.
He also served as head of European agency sales at ION Trading for almost one year, before joining the London Metal Exchange (LME) as head of sales.
The LME is a member of the HKEx Group and the world center for industrial metals trading.
More than 80 percent of global non-ferrous metals business is conducted on three trading platforms.
MacGregor spent more than three years at the exchange before moving to his derivatives sales role at Brittania Global.
