FXPrimus has a new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), with the CySEC-regulated foreign exchange (forex) broker promoting Nima Siar to the role this month, Finance Magnates has learned.

The move was originally made public via Siar’s Linkedin profile, which states that he took on the new role in September of this year. FXPrimus has confirmed the move to Finance Magnates. He takes on the new role after having spent three months as the Head of Global Sales with the broker.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Siar’s latest promotion is the third one for him this year at FXPrimus, having joined the broker in January 2019 as the Head of Sales and Business Development for the EMEA and LATAM region.

Before he worked for the Cyprus-based broker, Siar spent nine years of his career at global broker easyMarkets. Joining back in June of 2009, he was first employed with the firm as an account manager for the middle east based in Cyprus.

During his more than nine years with the broker, he held five different positions, according to his LinkedIn. From account manager, Siar was promoted to retention Marketing manager after more than three years with the firm.

When he left the company at the beginning of this year, Siar held the role of Director of Business Development, a position he held for ten months. Prior to this, he was the Director of Client Relationships for slightly more than two years.

Despite having spent most of his career in Cyprus, Siar actually started it in the United States as a loan officer for NovaStar Mortgage in California. After spending ten months in the role, he went on to work for Direct Express Funding where he was a Regional Sales Manager.
