Finance Magnates learned on Monday that Galin Georgiev has joined PrimeXM as chief operating officer.
Georgiev joins the Cyprus-based Technology Provider from Saxo Bank. The trading executive was with the Danish retail broker for over a decade, having joined the company back in late 2007.
His most recent role was in Saxo Bank's Copenhagen office as a business analyst and senior manager - a job he'd held since the start of 2013.
Prior to that, Georgiev worked as head of trading for the Danish company's website Forex Trading .com.
Long career
The Bulgarian started at Saxo Bank in 2007 and spent his first four years at the company working in the institutional trading division.
His career in the financial services industry, however, began back in the early 2000s.
Georgiev began working at Varchev Finance - a retail broker - in 2002. He spent three years in the company's Bulgarian office and was eventually made the head of trading.
After leaving Varchev in 2005, Georgiev then moved to Expressbank - a Bulgarian subsidiary of French banking giant Societe Generale.
He only spent seven months at the firm as a business project manager.
After that, he moved to the Polish capital, Warsaw. There he worked as a full-time prop trader in the currency markets - a role he held for a year and a half before moving to Saxo Bank.
