Global Prime Partners (GPP), a provider of prime brokerage and trading services to hedge funds, asset managers and professional traders, has added Markus Ruetimann to its Board as its newest Senior Non-Executive Director, according to a company statement.

Mr. Ruetimann steps into his new role following a lengthy career in the financial services industry that spans over two decades. Most recently, he has served as the Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Schroders, dating back to 2004.
Prior to this role, he also worked as the Global Head of Technology & Portfolio Services at UBS Global Asset Management for over five years as well as the COO of Phillips & Drew, extending back to 1988.
According to Julian Parker, Chief Executive of Global Prime Partners, in a recent statement on the appointment: βI am pleased to welcome Markus to our Board. The hire at Global Prime is the first move in 2017 and latest since on-boarding Mike Ward back in November as its Head of Business Development.
