Global Relay announced recently that it has named Chip Jones as Vice President of Compliance , effective immediately.

Announced in a press release, Global Relay, a leading provider of fully-compliant, Cloud -based message archiving, supervision and eDiscovery solutions, announced that it has secured the services of Chip Jones as the Senior FINRA executive to develop its high-growth strategy.

Jones will report directly to Warren Roy, CEO of Global Relay, which delivers services to over 20,000 customers in 90 countries and strengthen the company’s expertise across regulatory compliance. In Vancouver, he will work with the Global Relay teams to ensure its products, services and customer service team exceed expectations and requirements of its existing and potential clients, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Jones Leaves FINRA for Global Relay

Before Jones’ appointment to Global Relay, he held the position of Senior Vice President of Member Relations and Education for FINRA, which just fell short of two decades. In this role, he fulfilled the duties including maintaining and enhancing open and effective dialogue with FINRA member firms.

Additionally, Jones oversaw FINRA’s Member Education area where he covered FINRA conferences and other member firm educational offerings like the FINRA Institute at Georgetown for the Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP)® designation.

Prior to the time spent at FINRA, Jones served as Vice President of Regulatory and Industry Affairs at American Express Financial Advisors (Ameriprise Financial) for six years.

Earlier on, he had held the position of Advocacy Administrator for the Association for Investment Management and Research (The CFA Institute) for a couple of years.

Though, the commencement of Jones’ career began as a senior examiner/investigator at Virginia Securities Division.
