Finance Magnates has learned that Gyula Szathmary has been promoted to Global Head of Digital Experience Platforms and CMS Strategy at Saxo Bank. According to an update on LinkedIn, he has been working in the bank as the Global Head of Digital Development and Content Management Strategy since 2018.
Szathmary is a veteran at Saxo Bank, as the firm has employed him for over nine years, where he first started as a Digital Designer and Community Manager. Between 2014 and 2018, he worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer at ISS A/S. Also, he worked as a Communications Assistant at the Corvinus University of Budapest between 2010 and 2012.
The new Global Head of Digital Experience Platforms and CMS Strategy at Saxo Bank had a brief tenure of two months at Cleanevent 2012 as a Junior Manager, where he worked in the Olympic Villages at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
According to his educational background, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Business Administration and Management at the Corvinus University of Budapest. Additionally, he has studied Multimedia Design and Communications at the Copenhagen Business Academy.
Saxo Bank's Recent Trading Volumes
In other news related to Saxo Bank, the firm recorded an approximate 19% surge in its foreign exchange (forex) trading volume in May. In May, forex volume increased from $126.2 billion to $149.6 billion, which is up 17% from April. In addition, the bank's average daily volume (ADV) rose 19%, from $5.7 billion in April to $6.8 billion last month.
FX's total monthly trading volume in May is 38% higher than in January, and ADV is 31% higher. Except for a 17% tumble in April, the bank's total FX trading volumes have been rising steadily since the beginning of the year. ADV fixed income volumes and total trading volumes at Saxo Bank increased by 24% and 25%, respectively. May's volume was $10.7 billion.
