The move further strengthens the group’s sales team, as Mr. Jenner has accumulated over 15 years of financial market experience. His most recent position was at HSBC, where he was the Head of Risk and P&L for the Fixed Income and IT divisions, across the Americas.

Financial Market Experience

The breadth of his experience came from his 7-year tenure as a Senior Quantitative Analyst at Commonwealth Bank, from 2004 through 2011. Following a one-year stint with Calypso Technology as a Senior Financial Engineer, he joined HSBC Paris before transferring to the Bank’s New York branch in early 2017.

The launch of Mr. Jenner’s career took place in 2001, when he worked as an Analyst for Natixis for more than two years. He later took on a similar role as an Analyst for Commerzbank, where he remained for roughly one year.

Illustrating the importance of the new hire, were Horizon’s CEO Sylvain Thieullent remarks on the matter: “At Horizon we pride ourselves on ensuring that we appoint only the best person for the job and Damien certainly fits that requirement. With experience working in Frankfurt, New York, Sydney, London and Paris, his wealth of knowledge will be a true asset to us and to Horizon’s growth and success going forward.”

Horizon’s Operational Expansion

Horizon has been actively expanding operational activity as of late, with the scope of operations reaching the cryptocurrency market. Earlier this year, the company launched cryptocurrency trading through a multi-Exchange gateway that encompasses some of the leading global crypto exchanges, including Kraken, Bitstamp, Bitfinex and GDAX.

Horizon’s operations are expanding geographically as well. Two weeks ago, the company agreed to provide market making services to Chinese investment firm Shenyin Wanguo Fortune Investment.
