HSBC Revamps M&A and Sales Business, Adds Jan Masek and Oskar Von Kretschmann

HSBC has continued to augment its mergers and Acquisition business (M&A) as well as its institutional sales team operations in Germany, appointing Jan Masek and Oskar von Kretschmann.

Mr. Masek joins HSBC from JPMorgan, where he served as the head of Corporate Finance and M&A for Switzerland, part of a sixteen-year tenure in European and UK markets. In his new role at HSBC, Mr. Masek will be the co-head of M&A for Germany.

Alternatively, Mr. Kretschmann was named the European head of Distressed and Illiquid Asset Sourcing, whilst also serving as the co-head of High-Yield Sales for both Germany and Austria. He comes to HSBC after more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, namely Deutsche Bank.
