IG Group Holdings has started off the first week of May with a change of its management team, with the company's board announcing the appointment of Charlie Rozes as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) this Monday.
Rozes will join commence his new position on June 1, 2020, and will, at the same time, assume the role of Executive Director of the company. Today's announcement follows on from the online trading provider revealing back in January of this year that Paul Mainwaring intended to retire.
Rozes to support IG Group strategic growth
Commenting on the appointment, June Felix, Chief Executive Officer, said in the statement: "I am thrilled that Charlie is joining the executive team of IG. He brings extensive international experience of leading and working with UK and overseas operations and has successfully driven a number of substantial growth programmes throughout his career."
"Charlie's UK PLC and executive director experience will further support IG as it continues to grow its sustainable and diversified global business and in achieving its strategic growth ambitions. I would also like to thank Paul for his tremendous contribution to the company and look forward to continuing to work with him over the next few months as we orchestrate an orderly transition of his responsibilities to Charlie."
Once Rozes joins IG in June, there will be a one-month handover from Mainwaring before he leaves the company to start his retirement, the Group said this Monday.
Rozes has held a number of roles in the financial space, having started his professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. In 2001 he became a Partner with the firm. During his career, he has also held senior executive roles at IBM and Bank of America.
In 2007, Rozes joined Barclays plc as the CFO of Barclays UK Retail and Business Bank. In September of 2011, he became the Global Head of Investor Relations and held the position until August 2015.
From here, Rozes moved on to Jardine Lloyd Thompson plc, where he was the Group Finance Director until April of 2019 when it was acquired by Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc.
