IG Group has appointed David Horsley as its newest Head of Finance, joining the broker with immediate effect, according to an IG Group statement.
In his new role at IG Group as its Head of Finance, Mr. Horsley will be based out of IG Group’s London branch. He will be tasked with the management of IG’s financial functions worldwide, which includes such channels as financial control, financial planning, analysis and tax reconciliation.
Mr. Horsley joins IG from KCG Holdings, part of a career in financial services that has spanned upwards of two decades. At KCG he served as its European Finance Director for under a year – prior stops included Aldermore Bank PLC, NewDay, and Liberum Capital Limited, having worked in a number of similar roles.
Last month, IG Group made headlines after it announced its preliminary results for the 2014 fiscal year ending on the 31st of May. Despite the Swiss franc (CHF) turmoil back January, in which the broker had to write off about $46.8 million (£30 million), the company registered a respectable growth rate in underlying revenues by 8% to $622 million (£400 million).
IG Group provides a variety of financial services for a worldwide clientele, including shares, indices, foreign Exchange (FX), commodities, contracts-for-difference (CFDs) and binary options.
