IHS Markit (Nasdaq: INFO), a comprehensive provider of information, Analytics and financial markets solutions, has announced the appointments of three key strategic hires to its global FX team, Finance Magnates has learned.

The London Summit 2017 is coming, get involved!

Randy Hebert, former director of business development at global technology provider First Derivatives, joined the company back in April as Director of FX Business Development in APAC to help further drive IHS Markit’s rapidly expanding offering within the region. Mr. Hebert, whose previous experience covers FX, interest rates, derivatives, structured products and alternative investments, previously held senior roles in Canada, Singapore, Tokyo and Bahrain.

Randy manages the Asian FX business for IHS Markit where he is tasked with the responsibility of overseeing regional sales groups to drive FX technology partnerships.

Stuart Crooks also comes on board as Director of FX Business Development in EMEA. Formerly of R5FX, where he most recently served as head of Liquidity & product management, Stuart joins to enhance IHS Markit’s expertise in the emerging region and grow its client network.

IHS Markit has also appointed Steven Singh as Product Development Manager of FX Trading.

With more than 17 years’ experience in the investment services industry, Mr. Singh will play a key role in driving new client engagement through defining the product roadmap for the RefleX eFX trading system. He is also responsible for expanding the firm’s capabilities to offer banks an end-to-end eFX solution for aggregation, hedging, pricing and distribution.

Steven joins from EBS BrokerTec, ICAP's electronic foreign exchange (FX) and fixed income business, which rebranded to NEX Markets after ICAP sold off its voice broking unit to Tullett Prebon, where he spent two years as product manager for its trading applications.

Chris Leaver, head of business development for MarkitSERV FX commented on the new hires: “We are delighted that Randy, Steven and Stuart have joined the global FX team at IHS Markit, demonstrating our commitment to our growing FX client base. All three have deep expertise in FX markets, which will directly benefit our clients, while supporting our business growth strategy.”
