INGOT Brokers has strengthened its executive-level positions by promoting Wael Al Masri to Global Head of Expansion and Business Development. He joined the Jordan offices of INGOT in September 2020 and was the Head of Business Development prior to the new role.

“I’m glad with gratitude to share that I’m starting a new position as Global Head of Expansion & Business Development at INGOT BROKERS!” Al Masri wrote in a Linkedin post.

The appointment came when INGOT received a new license from the regulator in Kenya. The broker now has two African licenses, the other in South Africa, and is looking to expand its services in the continent. In addition, it gained another regulatory approval in Seychelles for global services. Though not specified, Al Masri might play a significant role in its expansion of the broker.

Established in 2006, INGOT has a strong base in the Middle East, where it operates with a license from the regulator in Jordan. It has another license from the Australian financial market watchdog.

Strong Experience in the Middle East Markets

Al Masri has about 14 years of experience working in the financial services industry. He spent his entire career working in company offices based in Jordan.

Apart from his role at INGOT, he has been the Business Development Director at Jordan-based Masri Consult for the last three years. His professional experience includes four years and five months-long tenure at Standard Chartered Bank. There, he joined as a Treasury Sales Manager for Wealth Market Products and Sales and was then promoted to Relationship Manager (Wealth Management and Priority Banking).

Al Masri entered the financial services industry working as a Dealer for Omicron Investments in December 2008, according to his Linkedin profile. Later, he joined Jordan’s Awraq Investments as a Regional & International Equity Markets Broker and then Cairo Amman Bank as a Liaison Officer.
