Invast Global announced on Friday the appointment of Matt Harris as its new Director of Prime Services. He has already joined the broker’s Prime Services team and is based in Sydney.

“Matt’s clear focus on client relations and strong, proven expertise in managing sophisticated investors is an asset to Invast Global,” Gavin White, the CEO of Invast Global, said in a statement.

“His expertise will add another layer to our expertise and enhance our reputation in the market as being extremely client focussed as we tailor products to meet our client's needs.”

A Strong Finance Background

Harris comes with a strong two decades of experience working with major global financial institutions. There, he not only maintained the existing business but also expanded the client base.

Before joining Invast, Harris worked at Credit Suisse. He served a long 14-year tenure with the investment bank as a PD4PB, which is a prime services arm of the business for private banks that allows funds and family offices that are sophisticated enough to utilize the investment bank's capabilities. Additionally, he juggled his time between the Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong offices of the Swiss bank.

He started his career as a Client Relationship Manager at HSBC and had a year-long stint at ANZ in its Business Management and Planning Division.

“[I am] keen to get stuck into a place that is smaller, up and coming and a disruptor in the hedge fund and family office landscape,” Harris said. “Invast Global has the unique opportunity to become the alternative prime that is willing to take on and nurture emerging funds and offices that the larger primes have lost an appetite for.”

Meanwhile, Invast has expanded its offerings significantly over recent years. Furthermore, the broker onboarded Melissa Downes earlier this year as its Global Head of Marketing.
