Invast Global continues its leadership appointments with the recent promotion of Liam Smith as the Chief Operating Officer of the EMEA region. He has already taken the charge of the new role, according to his Linkedin profile.
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Operating Officer – EMEA at Invast Global!” Smith wrote on a social media post.
He has been working at Invast for almost five years now, joining the broker as an Associate in October 2017. Over the years, he climbed the corporate ladder and was recently the Head of Electronic Trading and Execution of EMEA before his latest promotion.
Other executive roles held by him at the broker include Head of Client Coverage in both EMEA and APAC and the Director and Head of Operations.
Though Smith spent most of his professional career at Invast, he also worked at Hill Capital and WCM Chartered Accountants for a couple of years. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Macquarie University in Business Administration.
Strengthening the EMEA Leadership
Smith’s appointment came when Invast is strengthening its leadership with several key appointments. Most of these appointments are being made through promotions.
Last week, the company promoted Lochlan White as Chief Commercial Officer for the EMEA region, who will primarily focus on the broker’s expansion. Additionally, the broker prompted its prominent female executive, Riana Chaili, from Managing Director of Cyprus at Invast Global to Chief Executive Officer, of EMEA.
All these appointments show the Australia-headquartered broker’s willingness to expand its services in the European markets.
Despite the promotional appointments, the broker did not pause its leadership hirings. Furthermore, the broker strengthened its prime services with the hiring of Harry Fry and Matt Harris as Directors. Earlier in February, the broker even named Melissa Downes as its Global Head of Marketing.
