Thomas Selby, an experienced executive in the Forex industry, has taken up the role of Head of Business Development in the Cyprus-based broker, IronFX. He will begin his new role on September 1.
Selby has almost two decades of work experience, and he spent most of his career with multiple brokerages. He is joining IronFX after spending eight long years at Exinity Group.
He parted with Exinity as a Commercial Director of the International Business Division. Before that, he was the Global Head of Sales at ForexTime and Alpari, two brokerage brands of the Group. He joined Exinity as a Business Development Manager covering the Asian region and was later promoted as the Head of the European Sales Desk and Deputy Head of Sales.
“3 months ago my 8-year journey with Exinity, FXTM & Alpari International came to an end, it was a pleasure to work alongside some wonderfully intelligent and creative people,” Selby wrote on a social media post. “I wish all the best to them and Exinity in the future.”
“After a busy but refreshing 3-month sabbatical, I am very excited to announce that on the 1st of September I will be starting the next phase of my career with IronFX as Head of Business Development.”
A Long Career in FX
Selby started his career in 2004 as a corporate sales consultant for PrimeTel, a Cypriot telecommunication company, but soon entered the brokerage industry with the role of customer support supervisor at FxPro. Additionally, he spent almost three years at the Cyprus office of the FIBO Group, heading customer services.
Meanwhile, Exinity Group is aggressively expanding its operations on the global map. It is one of the very few brokers holding a forex broker license in Kenya and launched services last June under its Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) license.
