JFD Brokers appointed Demetris Tsingis to its Board of Directors, Finance Magnates has learned. The company is expanding its management team with a hire of a figure that is well known in the industry.
With substantial background in dealings with regulators, the new hire will boost the company’s compliance team. The timing of the new appointment to the company’s board is coincides with one of the most challenging environments for European brokers. Companies have come under increased scrutiny and tighter supervision by national financial watchdogs.
JFD Brokers has been operating as a pure DMA/STP brokerage since it was founded in 2011.
Substantial Regulatory Experience
Mr.Tsingis was formerly heading the Financial Regulation & Advisory (FRA) department (Cyprus and London) and the Executive Academy departments for Fincap Advisers. The company is one of the leading advisory firms in Cyprus.
With a distinguished career and array of qualifications and accolades, Mr. Tsingis formerly held positions at Arthur Andersen/Deloitte in London, in M&A in BNP Paribas New York, and at the in Private Banking in Bank of Cyprus, after which he returned to the financial advisory space in 2013 where he specialised in the investment sector.
He has worked with regulators across the globe such as the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC ) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Tsingis also has experience in dealing with SEC US CBC, MFSA, AMF Canada, FSA Seychelles, ASIC and FSMA Belgium and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA).
