JP Morgan Appoints New Global Head of Broker Relationship Management

On Wednesday, JP Morgan Asset Management announced that Carissa Biggie had been hired as Managing Director and Global Head of Broker Relationship Management. According to the press release, she will report to Kristian West, the Head of the company’s Investment Platform team.

In the new role, Biggie will strengthen and optimize relationships and partnerships with external counterparties and leverage its strengths across its various asset classes, including equity, fixed income, liquidity, alternatives and solutions, taking a holistic view of the broker relationships.

Previously, Biggie worked at Prudential Financial, covering top global financial institutions for the Enterprise Strategic Relationship Management team. Formerly, she spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in a variety of roles, including as an executive in trading, finance and prime brokerage, as well as Chief Operating Officer of Global Risk Management and Central Trading. Prior to that, she worked for JP Morgan Asset Management’s Alternatives division as a project manager.

Banking Services to Crypto Exchanges

JP Morgan Chase started offering banking services to several cryptocurrency exchanges recently. As its first clients, the bank has already processed transactions for Coinbase and Gemini, whose accounts were approved last month.

Furthermore, JP Morgan primarily provides cash management services to the two crypto exchanges, handling US dollar-based transactions for their US-based customers.
