JP Morgan Onboards Christian Kames to Bolster German Unit

JP Morgan has hired former Senior Citigroup executive, Christian Kames to reinforce its German unit, according to Reuters today. He will step into his role as head of investment banking Germany at JP Morgan from January 2017.

With over 20 years of experience, Kames joined Citi from Goldman Sachs where he held senior positions in Investment Banking in London and Frankfurt, from 2001 as Executive Director and since 2006 as Managing Director.

During his tenure, his focus was on mergers and acquisitions in the automotive industry. He also advised Terex on the Acquisition of Demag Cranes in 2012 and Siemens on the acquisition of the software developer UGS. Prior to this, Kames previously worked for Merrill Lynch and KPMG.

Finance Magnates last reported on JPMorgan in September 2016 after the group announced that its Board of Directors had added Berkshire Hathaway's Todd Combs to its board of directors, after recently revamping its equities division with the appointment of Mark Leung and Jason Sippel as Global co-Heads of Equities .
