JP Morgan Appoints New Global Head of Broker Relationship Management

Earlier this week, JP Morgan Asset Management made an announcement that Carissa Biggie was hired as Managing Director and Global Head of Broker Relationship Management. She will report to Kristian West, the Head of the company’s Investment Platform team.

As part of her responsibilities, Biggie will enhance relationships and partnerships with external counterparties as well as leverage its strengths across its various asset classes, including equity, fixed income, liquidity, alternatives and solutions.

Previously, Biggie was employed at Prudential Financial, covering top global financial institutions for the Enterprise Strategic Relationship Management team.

Saxo Markets Broadens APAC Market Strategist Team, Hires Charu Chanana

Saxo Markets has enlarged its Asia-Pacific team by adding Charu Chanana, who will be based in Singapore, to the team as a Market Strategist. She will add her skills to the three-strong market strategist team of the broker in the region. This includes her soon to be colleagues Jessica Amir in Sydney and Redmond Wong in Hong Kong.

Chanana will report directly to Steen Jakobsen, the Chief Economist and Chief Investment Officer of Saxo Markets.

Additionally, she will focus on delivering thematic-based investment strategies and serve global clients who are looking for investments in macro themes, forex, commodities and equities in markets like Southeast Asia, Japan, India and the US.

Exness Hires Katina Messinis as Premier Account Management Head

The latest appointment at Exness to enhance its senior management will be Katina Messinis as the Head of Premier Account Management Operations.

Messinis has utilised her time working with brokers and several other financial consultant companies. Before this appointment, she served ZuluTrade, the copy-trading platform, where she was a part of the Institutional Sales team. She left as the Acting Head of Institutional Sales. Moreover, she has many years of industry experience consulting in legal matters and taxation

Amana Capital Promotes Mahmoud Elbakatoushy to Vice President

Amana Capital, a trading firm, has promoted Mahmoud Elbakatoushy to Vice President. He has been with the firm since May 2019 when he joined as a Senior Relationship Manager and is located in Dubai.

This promotion is one among several recent internal moves within the broker. In fact, Finance Magnates recently divulged details of the new Vice President of Sales, Fayez Alkhouli who was also promoted from his post as Senior Sales Executive.

Another promotion in the world of finance comes from Invast Global, which has elevated Riana Chaili to Chief Executive Officer of EMEA.

She stated that at the beginning of COVID-19, the team numbered 33 employees. However, the personnel has doubled since that time and are now located in a new office, which is based on a hybrid work model.

On top of that, she commented that it is vital to enable team members to suggest novel ideas and give them the authority to make decisions. Following that, she added that providing feedback is essential for the team to advance and grow.

The cryptocurrency market-maker owned by Japan’s SBI Holdings, B2C2 announced its appointment of Nicola White to the position of Chief Executive Officer for the US. She is taking over from Rob Catalanello, who drove the operations in that region from March 2019 and is moving on from the firm.

“I’m delighted to be leading our US operations and look forward to working with the global team to build out B2C2’s already significant capabilities in electronic trading across spot and derivatives,” White said.

Kohle Capital Markets, a retail broker regulated by Mauritius, made the appointment of Ryan Tsui as the Chief Executive Officer public at the beginning of the week. This action is part of the broker's strategy to expand its services in the GCC region.

The main charges of Tsui in the new post will include supervising the group’s expansion into new markets and developing brand development strategies.
