Mr. Carroll has worked for over thirty years in the financial software and Analytics space. As its Chief Architect, he will be tasked with the management, development, and oversight of LiquidityBook’s technology architecture, with an emphasis on its SaaS-based platform. In this capacity he will be reporting to Shawn Samuel, LiquidityBook’s Chief Technology Officer.
He lands at LiquidityBook from Twitter, where he worked as a staff software engineer for the past few years. During his lengthy tenure in the analytics and financial software segment, he also worked in senior roles at BlueFin Labs, aPriori, i2 Technologies, and Voice Control Systems, among others.
Mr. Samuel commented on LiquidityBook’s latest appointment: “Flexibility and scalability are crucial to the ongoing success of our product, which makes the Chief Architect role one of the most critical in our technology organization. Andy has spent decades working with firms across the technology spectrum, and brings an impressive level of experience, know-how and capability to LiquidityBook.”
“We could not be more excited to welcome him to the firm and look forward to his leadership on several of the key infrastructure projects we have queued up,” he added.
“Over the course of my career I’ve had the good fortune of working as part of some extraordinary technology organizations. Though the firm is still relatively small, LiquidityBook’s platform is incredibly sophisticated, and its modular, web-based architecture really sets it apart from the legacy platforms in this space. I’m extremely excited to get to work with the talented team here and help LiquidityBook continue its global build-out,” explained Mr. Carroll.
The addition of Mr. Carrol constitutes LiqudityBook’s latest major hire and the third in the past few months, having also on-boarded Les Vital as its Head of Technical Sales and Nicholas Thompson as its Manager, Client Services – Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The moves are part of LiquidtyBook’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its personnel across key segments, with the latter hire being in line with an increased demand for European Buy-Side firms looking to meet upcoming MiFID II compliance requirements.
