LiquidityEdge Taps NEX Group Veteran Andy Bria as COO

LiquidityEdge, an electronic US Treasuries (UST) trading venue, announced today that it has secured Andy Bria as Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Bria will be based in New York.

Over the past three years, LiquidityEdge has been growing its UST market share and volumes. As a result, since launching in 2015, the firm has established itself as an alternative model for fixed income. Now, Bria will help to further drive the growth of the platform and help the firm achieve its expansion plans, the statement said.

By joining the firm, Bria is ending his 14-year-tenure with NEX Group. During his time with the firm, he held a number of senior roles. When he first joined the company in 2004 he was the Customer Deployment Manager for its flagship brand EBS. He then went on to work as the Head of Global Solution Delivery from 2006 until 2012.

At NEX Group, his most recent role was the Head of Client Services for EBS. In 2011, Bria also successfully managed all client-facing aspects of the firm's technology platform. According to the statement, his experience in electronic trading and client relationships makes him an ideal leader for the next step in LiquidityEdge’s strategy.

Before working for NEX Group, Bria was Senior Project Manager at DeskNet Inc, a provider of a Cloud -based sales enablement platform, between 2000 until 2004.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Bria’s first job was as a system analyst/QA at PwC, where he stayed for just over one year. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He graduated in 1997.
