Mr. Grady joins Liquidnet following a career in the financial services industry that has spanned over two decades. He is the acting Managing Director and Head of Market Structure and Strategy at Ipreo, having just started at the group earlier this month. Prior to the appointment at Liquidnet, he also worked as the Global Head of Trading at Legal and General Investment Management.
Additional stops also include positions at Barclays Wealth as its Managing Director and Global Head of Dealing and Sales Trading, Global Head of Dealing at Fortis, and Head Trader at Powe Capital Management, among others, dating back to 1990, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
According to Mark Pumfrey, Head of Liquidnet EMEA, in a statement on the appointment: “We are looking forward to Stephen joining as Non-Executive Director and providing strategic counsel to Liquidnet as it continues to expand its business across the EMEA region, with an overall focus on augmenting global membership.”
“I am excited to be joining Liquidnet at a time when markets are facing far-reaching changes and I’m looking forward to contributing to Liquidnet's continued success in innovating and improving Liquidity for its members and, ultimately, the whole marketplace,” added Mr. Grady.
The appointment is the latest at Liquidnet following the addition of Simon Gilbert as a Sales Director in the group’s London office. He has since been tasked with assisting the group’s European members source institutional liquidity in US equities.
