Liquidnet’s EQS group helps advise the company’s buy-side constituency as well as a wide range of institutional clientele on matters such as algorithmic strategies, trade Analytics , and quantitative products and services. The group’s decision to reinforce the EQS team represents an ongoing demand for its services and the evolution of the group’s mandate since its inception in 2014.

Veteran Hires

Gareth Exton joins Liquidnet as its newest Head of Execution Consulting. He will be tasked with developing Liquidnet’s transaction cost analysis (TCA) and execution consulting services across such asset classes as equities and fixed income. He arrives at the group after more than a decade of experience, including recent roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) as its Execution Consultant and Head of TCA for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Mickey Senic lands at Liquidnet with over eighteen years in the financial services industry, joining the company from Natixis Securities – in this capacity he worked as its Institutional Sales Trader in Paris and London. In his new position however, Mr. Senic will aim to provide sales trading coverage across high touch, program and algorithmic trading operations.

Both individuals will be reporting to Chris Jackson, European Head of Liquidnet's EQS Group. According to Mr. Jackson in a recent statement on the appointments: “Liquidnet’s Liquidity business is constantly evolving, and our Members need an increasingly pro-active high touch service to help them navigate a complex trading landscape. We are committed to delivering a full execution consulting service to our Members, and both Gareth and Mickey have unique skill sets that will help us deliver this.”
