Liquidnet, a global Institutional Trading network specializing in a variety of asset-classes, has announced the appointment of Bob Garrett as Head of Technology and as a member of the company’s leadership team, according to a Liquidnet statement.
Mr. Garrett joins Liquidnet after more than two decades of technology leadership positions, including stints at Wells Fargo, Merlin Securities, Deutsche Bank, and Bank of America Securities. His new appointment at Liquidnet will see him responsible for the oversight of technical direction of the company, whilst collaborating with the development and business team to usher in more efficient and streamlined measures. Mr. Garrett will be based out of the Liquidnet’s New York operations.

According to John Kelly, Liquidnet's Chief Operating Officer in a recent statement on the recruitment, "technology is at the core of all what we do for our community of 740 of the world's leading asset managers.
