The London Stock Exchange Group (LON:LSE) reported that it has appointed Chris Corrado as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), doubling as Chief Information Officer (CIO), a 30-year veteran who previously served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at banking majors including Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch.
The appointment comes into effect as of today, with Corrado coming from his latest gig at MSCI, the global provider of market indices and equity portfolio analysis tools. At his latest job, Corrado was in charge of technology, data services and program management. Also citing the LSEβs press release that he has served as managing director, CTO and CIO for the last two years.
Corrado to Replace Shagoury, Enter Executive Committee
At the London Stock Exchange he will be replacing Antoine Shagoury, who has spent five years with the LSE as COO and CIO, as well as being a member of the Executive Committee. Shagoury will be leaving by the end of the year to the US. Corrado will also become member of the Executive Committee of the company.
