The latest appointment is the latest investment in Marex Spectronβs light ends business which has seen new hires in gasoline, naphtha and LPG in London. It also follows the recent hires in Canada of physical and financial Canadian crude brokers, Justin Norbraten, Jay Mitchell and Tarun Ajwani from Shorcan Energy.
Jarrad, as a leading broker in his field is an excellent fit.
Lewis joins Marex Spectron from ION, where he was the co-head of the NGL team in the US market. He is based in the Houston office and reports to Hunter Baldwin, Marex Spectron Managing Director and Head of North America.
Commenting on the new hire, Baldwin said: "We are focused on developing the Marex Spectron franchise by hiring the best talent within our core markets and Jarrad, as a leading broker in his field, is an excellent fit. We are excited about extending our coverage in NGL in the US and strengthening our Houston-based business.β
Since the opening of its New York office in 2010, Marex Spectron has significantly developed its North American presence which today covers metals, energy, agriculture and financial futures and options. Finance Magnates last reported on Marex Spectron back in September after the company launched its NEON Technology Platform, a trading, risk and data platform for commodity traders.
