Australian-based MEX Exchange has hired a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Finance Magnates has learned, with the Trading Platform provider appointing Courtney Fitzsimmons to the role.
The change was made public via Fitzsimmons’ LinkedIn this Tuesday, which outlines that she started the leading position in October of last year. The company’s website also confirms that she has been appointed to the role, having been promoted from her previous position as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
MEX Exchange, which is part of the MultiBank Group, services individuals, introducing brokers and institutions, offering advanced trading platforms, offering foreign exchange (Forex ), metals, stocks, and contracts for differences (CFDs) trading.
Fitzsimmons has more than nine years of experience in the Australian financial services industry. During her career, she has worked in both consulting and operations, her LinkedIn states.

In particular, she was the Operations Manager for Kinetic Securities, a full-service advisory firm that facilitates the trading of equities, derivatives, and forex on local and international markets, where she worked for under four years, joining in December of 2007.
In November of 2011, Fitzsimmons moved onto Coben, a company offering consulting services, where she was the Director, according to her LinkedIn. In this role, which she held until February of 2016, she consulted Australian Financial Services (AFS) licensees on compliance and operational frameworks.
From here, Fitzsimmons moved to MEX Exchange, joining the platform provider in March of 2016 as the COO. She held this position for three years and eight months before being promoted to the role of CEO, her LinkedIn shows.
On MEX Exchange’s website, the company states: “Having experienced the industry’s rapid growth and development, Mrs. Fitzsimmons has in-depth technical, commercial and internal compliance experience in the financial market from start-ups to well established financial companies. Mrs Fitzsimmons also specialises in Business Operations, Budgeting and Executive Level Management.”
