MFX Compass, a division of MahiFX Ltd., has appointed Tom Robinson to the newly created position of head of MFX compass sales, having joined the group from Goldman Sachs.
In his new role as head of MFX Compass sales, Mr. Robinson will be based out of London, where he will help foster the global distribution of MFX Compass institutional e-FX trading technology. The move is part of a broader ambition to target brokerage firms in the North American, European and Asia-Pacific (APAC) ) region.
Mr. Robinson joins from Goldman Sachs where he served as its managing director and global head of e-FX sales. Before this he also worked in executive level roles at Barclays Capital and Bloomberg.
According to David Cooney, MahiFX co-founder and CEO, in a recent statement on the appointment, “Both Susan and I have worked together closely with Tom in the past and we know that he brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge.
“He is well respected within the industry both among clients and colleagues and we are confident that Tom will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality solutions and services to our clients. We look forward to working together again and, of course, converting him to the All Blacks."
