eToro, a multi-asset investment platform, announced on Monday that it has appointed Michael Ptasznik to its Board of Directors, joining at the closing of its merger with Fintech Acquisition Tech V. According to the press release with Finance Magnates, Ptasznik also becomes a member of the Board’s Audit and Risk Committee.
Recently, the executive led the corporate strategy, M&A, finance, investor relations, Risk Management , corporate ESG and real estate as CFO and Executive VP at Nasdaq. Before joining Nasdaq, Ptasznik had worked for companies like TMX Group Limited and Procter & Gamble Canada Inc. According to his educational background, Ptasznik had graduated with honors BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Chartered Professional Accountant, and had obtained his Chartered Director designation from McMasters University.

Additionally, Ptasznik commented on his appointment: “I’m delighted to be joining the eToro Board. Furthermore, the company noted that eToro’s merger with Fintech Acquisition Tech V is set to take place in Q4 of 2021. As Finance Magnates reported early in the month, eToro announced the selection of Lule Demmissie, the former Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, as its new US CEO.
