Mizuho Securities USA Strengthens Equity Team With Two Exec Hires

Mizuho Securities USA (MSUSA), the US investment banking arm of Mizuho Financial Group (NYSE: MFG), has augmented its U.S. equity team with two senior appointments, according to an MSUSA statement.

MSUSA has secured the services of Patrick Moran and Richard Telesco, both having joined MSUSA as position traders – they will be managing the REIT/Financial and Consumer/Media sectors, respectively.

Mr. Moran joins MSUSA from Credit Suisse having worked there for seven years as its director and senior trader in the bank’s equity division. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Moran worked for over a decade with Morgan Stanley in senior level roles.

Alternatively, Mr. Telesco has landed at MSUSA after nearly 15 years at Credit Suisse, including stints as its director and head of small cap trading and consumer sector.

According to Mr. Koudounis, President and CEO of MSUSA, in a recent statement on the appointments, "We continue to build our U.S. equity sales, trading and research platform by investing in senior talent. Patrick and Richard both come to us with distinguished 20-year careers on Wall Street. We welcome them to the firm."
