Money.net, an online Trading Platform and software provider, has made a new senior hire to its team, bringing in Norman Pearlstine, the former Chief Content Officer at Bloomberg, who joins the group with immediate effect, according to a company statement.

Money.net was founded by Morgan Downey, another former Bloomberg employee and rising star in the financial services industry. In his new role at Money.net, Mr. Pearlstine will help lead the group’s development of an artificial intelligence-based news service to rival other industry players, including Bloomberg itself.
The group currently is spearheading the development of a new AI news service, has to date constituted a large amount of time, resources, historical data, and human input. The hire of Mr. Pearlstine represents the group’s bid to take their development to the next level, relying on his lengthy experience in the news sector.
In tandem with the hire, Money.net is also planning on hiring upwards of 75 developers and 25 journalists to help spark the product’s development. Mr. Pearlstine joins Monet.net from Time Inc., having worked there for over three years as its Vice Chairman and Chief Content Officer.
Additionally, he has served in other senior roles at Bloomberg in its Businessweek and Government divisions, as well as a stint as its Chief Content Officer, dating back to 2008, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
